Hey HN,

I've partnered w/ indie hacking legends Tony Dinh and Minh-Phuc Tran to host a new type of month-long Hacker Residency at a dope villa in Da Nang, Vietnam, this November, 2025.

*This is an experiment*

We're looking for 10 experienced devs who want to lock in with us for a month to take their startup / indie game to the next level!

We're also looking for some select sponsors who align w/ our mission to help us cover our costs (program is free for residents unless you've taken venture funding, and includes housing, cleaning, catering, laundry, etc for the month).

Would love to hear your thoughts!

I went through a program like this (hf0) and it really did help us get more done. But that was in the heart of sf. So interested to see if the concept can cross cultures. I bet it can.

Also went thru HF0 in SF. Had no problem coding 18 hours a day because I had lived in SF before and didn’t care about going outside :)

That said most of my batch was not from SF and they had no problem staying in and focusing.

So yeah I bet this works in Vietnam too.

really excited to see what hf0's container concept is like in a completely different country :)

i really like the saying "talent is uniformly distributed; opportunity is not"

this is def an experiment and our first time doing anything like this in SE asia, but i'm personally really excited to see who this attracts, and i just hope it ends up as a semi-organized non-shitshow ;)

Worth noting that Vietnam offers 45-day visa-free entry for many nationalities now, perfect timing for this residency. For others, e-visas are relatively straightforward and can be obtained online.

i know you said this is an experiment but are there goals behind the project or is it more a “let’s see what happens” ??
